I could never have imagined the journey to be as memorable as it was

I’d come to Morocco with a thirst for adventure, to challenge myself on terrain few cyclists ever get to experience. I’d read about climbs such as Tizi n’Tichka on several blogs, but could find little mention of roads deeper into the mountains.

That’s what appealed to me the most, the fact that so much of where we were going was new, not just to me, but for everyone. It was that sense of adventure and the chance to be a pioneer, far away from the masses, that excited me the most.

I could never have imagined the journey to be as memorable as it was, every day providing me with those magical moments that will live in my memory for many years to come. The sorts of moments that fill you with a child-like happiness, impossible not to smile and be grateful that you have been able to live in that moment.

Riding all over Europe, as great as those experiences had been, I was always left wondering if there was something more, and thanks to Conquistador and this truly unique expedition I now know that there is; Morocco and the Atlas Mountains. An adventure cycling heaven, and the trip of a lifetime.
