It was from this moment onwards that it felt as if every turn took us further away from the outside world
There are increasingly fewer places in the UK where one can ride their bike and feel so disconnected from the world around them, I have, thanks to Conquistador, discovered that the Cambrian Mountains are one such place. From the moment we crossed the Llyn Brianne Reservoir and entered the forest roads it felt as if we were riding in our own little bubble.
It was from this moment onwards that it felt as if every turn took us further away from the outside world, immersing us in an environment full of peace and tranquility. Such is thew lie of the land that you never really felt like you knew what was ahead, a sense of wonder at what’s around the next corner, what’s over the horizon, maintained until the last moment when you are upon it.
I could have ridden on for many more kilometres and would urge everybody to experience this sort of riding at least once, if not multiple times.
